Privacy Policy

This website and waitlist are operated by Zupeka Pty Ltd (ACN 703 741 128; ABN 92 703 741 128), an Australian company. Zupeka is an app in development. The app isn’t available yet, so nothing you might one day share in it is collected here. In this policy, “Zupeka”, “we” and “us” mean Zupeka Pty Ltd.

When you join the waitlist, we keep:

• your email address;
• a record of your opt-in — that you ticked the consent box and confirmed your email address, and when;
• your subscription status, such as active or unsubscribed.

When we send you emails, our email provider records whether each email was delivered, opened or clicked, along with related technical details.

When you visit the site or use the signup form, technical information may be collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser and device type, form identifiers, and standard server logs kept by our hosting and email providers.

The waitlist doesn’t ask for your name, phone number, health information or any of your private thoughts.

• To send you an email asking you to confirm your sign-up.
• To manage the waitlist and send you occasional updates about Zupeka’s development, early access and launch.
• To check that our emails are delivered and read.
• To respond to your questions and privacy requests.
• To protect the website and signup form from spam and misuse.

Joining the waitlist is optional — you can still visit the site without sharing your email address.

The consent checkbox on the signup form is unticked by default, so joining is your choice. After you submit the form, we send a confirmation email, and you’re only subscribed once you click the link in it.

Every marketing email we send identifies Zupeka and includes an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe, or withdraw your consent, at any time. We won’t use your email address for unrelated marketing unless you separately agree.

After you unsubscribe, we may keep a limited record of your opt-in and opt-out so we can respect your choice.

We use service providers to run this website and the waitlist:

• MailerLite hosts the signup form, stores the waitlist and sends our emails.
• Our hosting provider (currently Lovable) serves the site and may keep standard technical logs. Hosting arrangements may change over time.

These providers handle information on our behalf under their own contractual terms and safeguards. We don’t sell the waitlist or share it with advertisers.

Because these providers operate internationally, your information is likely to be stored or processed outside Australia. MailerLite says it uses data centres in the European Union (the Netherlands), and that for customers outside the EU, UK and Switzerland, subscriber data may be transferred to the United States through MailerLite, Inc. Its sub-processors may handle data in other countries, and these locations can change as providers update their arrangements. The signup form on our home page is provided by MailerLite. When it loads, MailerLite’s script stores an identifier in your browser’s local storage, and it may use other storage or cookies — for example to run the form, help prevent spam, remember that you’ve already submitted it, and measure how the form performs.

Our emails may also let MailerLite record when they’re opened and links are clicked.

You can block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings, and many email apps let you block images, which limits open tracking. If you block storage, the signup form may not work as expected.

We keep your email address and waitlist details while you remain subscribed — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

If you unsubscribe, we stop sending you marketing emails straight away. We may keep a minimal record of your email address, consent and opt-out where necessary to make sure your choice is respected and to meet applicable law.

Unsubscribing is different from asking us to delete your information. If you ask us to delete it, we’ll remove you from our active mailing list and delete your waitlist details, except for any minimal records we need to keep for legitimate or legal reasons, such as respecting your opt-out. Copies held in our providers’ backups are removed as those backups are routinely replaced.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information using appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.

You can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you;
• correct it if it’s wrong;
• delete it;
• stop emailing you — or use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails.

We may need to confirm it’s you before acting on a request. If you’re concerned about how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first and we’ll try to resolve it. Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may also be able to complain to your local privacy regulator — in Australia, that’s the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

We’ll update this policy if this website, the waitlist or the way we handle information changes. The Zupeka app will have its own privacy information before it launches.
